Charlie Sheen capped off his year with an assault charge by his wife Brook Mueller. Born Carlo Irwin Estevez on September 3, 1965, the star of Three and a Half Men has been issued a restraining order after assaulting Brook on Christmas Day.

In the media released 911 call audio tape, Ms. Mueller says her husband has threatened to kill her with a knife. She alleges that Charlie Sheen held her down on the bed and threatened her with a knife against her throat when she said she wanted a divorce. It is widely reported that police found a knife in Mr. Sheen’s bag. He is charged with second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief as a result but he is denying the charges.

Charlie Sheen is no stranger to violent divorces or criminal charges. Ms. Mueller is Charlie’s third wife and the previous two divorces were no less acrimonious. In fact, previous girlfriends and wives have repeatedly reported abuse and threats from Sheen beginning in 1990 when Kelly Preston (who then married John Travolta) was shot in the leg.

Sheen in the son of famous actor Martin Sheen and brother of Emilio Estevez, also a renowned actor. Industry spokespeople suspect Sheen’s career will not be badly damaged by the latest scandal. People apparently expect Sheen to live up to his bad boy image.
