With born again Christian parents, Katy Perry grew up listening to gospel music and singing at their local church – a far stretch from the racy songs she releases these days. After signing with Capitol Records, Katy Perry released her first hit single ‘I Kissed a Girl’, which certainly set tongues wagging. Katy Perry told the media that three years ago, her and her boyfriend at the time had a fake marriage in Las Vegas – complete with fake elvis minister, fake marriage certificate, fake cake – the lot!
