Debuting around the world, Michael Jackson’s film “This Is It” premiered in Las Vegas last night (October 27) and, afterwards, the Jackson family got a big surprise.

Following two screenings of the film at the Palms, Joe and the family attended a special dedication of a Celebrity Star at Brendan Theaters.

The star, which will be placed next to Michaels, reads, “Joseph Jackson and Family.” After the unveiling, Joe told press, “I think it’s a fantastic thing to be able to accept a star. I accept it because of my son.”

Meanwhile, “This Is It” drew quite the crowd in Los Angeles, including celebs like Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Neil Patrick Harris, Paula Abdul, Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Adam Lambert, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ashley Tisdale.

The film is playing nationwide for two weeks.
